(hide this warning on this page)The TEM (Transmission Electron Microscope) is part of the Electron Microscopy Resource Laboratory, which provides conventional transmission electron microscopy (TEM) of cells and tissues services as well as Negative-stain TEM to Penn research groups and external academic research groups in the greater Philadelphia area. The facility houses a Thermo-Fisher Talos L120C G2 Transmission Electron Microscope, sample preparation instruments, and all the accessories needed to perform fixing, processing, sectioning, staining, and imaging.

The Ultrastructure Facility is part of the Electron Microscopy Resource Laboratory, which provides conventional transmission electron microscopy (TEM) of cells and tissues services to Penn research groups and external academic research groups in the greater Philadelphia area. The facility houses a JEOL JEM-1010 microscope, sample preparation instruments, and all the accessories needed to perform fixing, processing, sectioning, staining, and imaging.

* Here, you will learn T12 TEM operation, Negative staining technique, safe operation of Microscope and holders. * You are required to purchase TEM grids for negative staining. Click Here and find CF300-Cu and add to cart. *This service fee is to reserve time of the expert trainer for supervision, training and teaching a user 2 sessions (4 hrs each). * Training is available on Monday and Tuesday 1 PM to 5 PM only. *This training is a pre-requisite and required for every user before requesting Cryo-EM training. |
