(hide this warning on this page)The immune system plays an integral role in nearly every medical malady, from infectious diseases like COVID-19 and autoimmune conditions like multiple sclerosis, to cancer and neurological disorders. Thus, it is critically important to fund and operate research centers that focus on developing broad and deep immune profiling that can be translated into clinically actionable tools for physicians and their patients.
To this end, the University of Pennsylvania, a first mover in immunological research, has merged its Institute for Immunology (IFI) with Penn Medicine’s Immune Health (IH) organization to establish the Institute for Immunology & Immune Health (I3H).
